Time to see some art!

I've been on a road trip and missed the opportunity to post about a great show that opened in Toronto last week. Did you see it? It's by my friends, Andrew Hem and Tessar Lo. This show encompasses the continuation of Tessar Lo's whimsical yet experimental discovery of ones own identity (read his interview with Art Investigator, Amanda Erlanson). Coinciding Mr. Lo's solo efforts is the introduction of Andrew Hem's unique artwork to the citizens of Canada. Andrew produced art that includes sculptural works alongside graffiti-inspired stencils which replicates his painting style remarkably well. Go see them both!

"Chasing The Last Glympse Of Light" by Scott Belcastro

Did you see this show? It's by my friend Scott Belcastro who has just presented new paintings for his solo exhibition at LeBasse Projects. His artwork evokes the whimsical moments he had shared with me during his youth on the east coast. In this particular series, he masterfully controls not only light, but the emotion and stillness of nature. The honest components in art that I admire. This is Scott.
